481 NIGERIANS AIRBORNE FROM LIBYA

BREAKING NEWS Reports reaching W4W says a batch of 481 Nigerians trapped in Libya are airborne at the moment on their way back to Nigeria. They are onboard a Max Air Flight. This is according to Josiah Emerole, Head, Press & Public Relations NAPTIP. This is the outcome of the high powered Federal Government delegation to Libya to rescue and evacuate Nigerian citizens trapped in that country. The delegation which the DG of NAPTIP Dame Julie Okah-Donli is part of is led by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama. While the DG is leading the NAPTIP operations in Port Harcourt where the Returnees will land, Mr. Abdulrahim Opotu Shaibu, Director, Legal and Prosecution of NAPTIP is part of the ground operations in Libya. The Returnees are expected to arrive Nigeria anytime from now.

UPDATE ON THE ON-GOING REPATRIATION OF NIGERIANS FROM LIBYA -Nelly Nwaka' Ohuche There has been a deliberate and concerted effort on the part of the Nigerian government in conjunction with NAPTIP in the evacuation of Nigerian Nationals caught up in the web of slave masters in Libya, North Africa. The Libya horror of slavery which took a report from CNN for the world to have a peep into the sickening crisis frightened the world and enacted a global cry out against human trafficking. Unfortunately, Nigerians were a part of these slaves stuck up in Libya. In an effort to assess the situation first hand, a special Federal Government delegation departed Abuja last Wednesday 3, 2018 for Tripoli, the Libyan Capital.
