Social Justice is a word I first picked from public space. Typically used by a lot of public commentators in the media within our clime. Most of them just assume the listening public understands the meaning. So they often hardly define or explain the word. You could look it up for various dictionaries definition. I will do more to simplify its explanation by basic illustration. Particularly to explain it as; INJUSTICE so that we see more need for functional Justice in every sane society, to ensure law and order, peace and productive progress. My Dear Friend, JEPHTHAH OHIOMOKHARE SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION MARKS WORLD SICKLE CELL DAY World Sickle Cell Day is a United Nation’s recognised day to raise awareness of sickle cell at national and international levels, it falls on June 19. The Jephthah Ohiomokhare Sickle Cell Foundation is pleased to bring to your notice our decision to commemorate the day with an essay writing competition in Jephthah's former school. We have chosen The NAOWA College for what you might call obvious reasons. Our Jephthah would have been 18 years old this June, and we thought his post humors birthday and world Sickle Cell day should be marked amongst those he spent most of his time with and had learnt to love. OLIKOYE RANSOME KUTI

Olikoye Ransome-Kuti was born in Ijebu Ode on 30 December 1927, in present-day Ogun State, Nigeria. He came from a radical and distinguished family. His mother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, was a prominent political campaigner and Women's Rights Activist, and his father, Reverend Israel Oludotun Ransome-Kuti, was a Clergy, School Principal, and also the first president of the Nigeria Union of Teachers. He was said to have flogged a White Colonial Inspector who flouted his directive, at a time when Nigerians treated their British overlords like demigods. His brother Fela grew up to be a legendary Musician and a founder of Afrobeat, while another brother, Beko, became an internationally known Doctor and Political Activist. From 1948 to 1954, Olikoye attended Abeokuta Grammar School, and the University of Ibadan. Between 1948 and 1954, he studied Medicine at Trinity College Dublin.
